Skyrail Rainforest Cableways

The skyrail cruises far above the rainforest. Having just finished the duck boat tour at RainForeStation, we had a greater appreciation for the various plant life we could see from the Skyrail.

The skyrail makes two stops on the way down. If you don’t take any stops it only takes 45 minutes to get back down to Cairns.

The first stop has a skywalk loop with amazing views of the Barron falls.

The second stop is a mandatory transfer. It has great views of the valley, but they are the same views you see from the sky bucket, so I’d recommend just getting back in line if you are worried about those big tour groups are passing threw.

When you plan your time, be careful to watch for the big tour groups. They crowd the lines and can delay your plans. If you see crowds like this, it might be worth upgrading to their VIP sky rail.
