The Grover Beach Sourdough bakery offers freshly baked loaves of bread and a small specialty cafe. Located a short drive south of San Luis Obispo, Grover Beach is well known for its sand dunes, Monarch Butterfly Grove, and delicious casual foods.
Wanting a delicious lunch, we had our fingers crossed that their famous sourdough pizza would be available. Sure enough, it was! And it lived up to its hype. Other menu items include biscuits and bacon gravy, waffles, soups, salads, frittatas, and more.
Freshly baked loaves were lined and stacked on racks, ready to be bagged up to take home. Sourdough pretzels, bagels, buns, and croutons, plus a large variety of desserts to please your sweet tooth. We tried the sourdough butter cookies and thought these would be great dipped in hot coffee.
The daily and seasonal specials are updated regularly on their social media pages (Grover beach Sourdough Instagram), or you can call them directly. We purchased several loaves and slices of pizza for our boys to enjoy. This was a good food stop on our road trip adventure.
